I am currently a Digital Film and Video Production student at the Art Institutes International Minnesota. My adventure in filmmaking began in high school when I was involved in several film courses including Film Studies, Broadcast Video Production and “Eagan AM” (our school’s weekly news show that was broadcasted to the student body as well as cable access). During my time in those courses I learned, directing and producing, anchoring, floor directing, reporting and editing news packages. It was a overall introduction into the world of Film/TV production that helped generate my interest in this field.
Upon graduation from high school, I spent two years at Minnesota State University – Moorhead studying Film Production where I learned both traditional filmmaking and television/video production. At the end of my Sophomore year, I was craving more opportunities than they had to offer, so I packed my bags and headed home to Minneapolis where I began the film program at the Art Institutes.
Here I have been able to take part in many unique opportunities. Aside from this trip to New Orleans, my most recent project involves editing a feature-length adventure documentary, entitled Superior Dream.
Aside from the many hours spent at school, my hobbies include…photography, traveling and spending time with family and friends! Upon graduation, I hope to take what I have learned in school and incorporate those skills with my personal interest in traveling (documentaries) as far as head west and get experience with Hollywood films.
